At Right Foot Ranch, we seek to engage the power of horses to bring smile, hope, love & healing by providing accessible and affordable diversified equine assisted activities and therapies to underserved and underprivileged populations. This includes people with disabilities, residents of distressed rural and urban areas, those involved in the children & youth court systems, public service personnel including first responders, veterans & teachers.
We do this while promoting the prevention of cruelty to both children and animals through community outreach & involvement, public speaking engagements, educational programming, both on-site at the ranch and throughout
At Right Foot Ranch, Inc. we envision a community where people know their created value and are empowered to move in a positive direction on their journey, despite the challenges or obstacles they may face.
Our purpose is to offer equine assisted activities & therapies, camps & clinics, and to be present in our community, with horses, to provide therapeutic activities, education, motivation & inspiration to those who may lack those things. It will always be our priority to keep as many horses out of the slaughter pipeline as possible through rescue, rehabilitation and education.
Here at Right Foot Ranch, Inc. we love sharing our herd of rescued/sanctuary horses with everyone we can. Our Founder and President, Amanda Martinez, has had a love for horses as far back as she can remember. Injured severely at age 4 in a farming accident, she spent time in a wheelchair dreaming of riding a horse one day. It was in that wheelchair that she promised God that if she could ever have a horse, she would share it with as many people as she could. That dream finally came true in her mid-twenties when she finally got that first horse. She began sharing her horses with the public soon after and eventually pursued her certification from the Professional Association of Therapeutic Horsemanship. The journey from that point until now has been full of twists and turns, ups and downs, growth, healing and victories all credited to an amazing relationship with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Her background in social work combined with her knack for training abused & neglected horses has led to a vibrant passion of combined work with both people and horses, which has resulted in the Right Foot Ranch family.
We are a 501©3 Nonprofit organization that specializes in engaging the power of horses to bring smiles, hope, love & healing to everyone we can.
We serve everyone! We love to share our horses with anyone who is interested in meeting a horse! The clients we have served have ranged in age from 2 to 86 years old!
Whether it’s a one-time ride for a special event like a birthday or checking off a bucket list item, ongoing equine assisted learning, therapeutic riding, horsemanship lessons or bringing our horses to a special event in the community, we are here for you.
We work with underserved and underprivileged populations including, but not limited to people with disabilities, residents of distressed rural and urban areas, those involved in the children & youth and court systems, public service personnel (including first responders, veterans & teachers), schools, youth groups & scouts, as well as the average person or family wanting to learn more about or experience horses.
We do this while promoting the prevention of cruelty to both people and horses through community outreach & involvement, public speaking engagements, educational programming, both on-site at the ranch and throughout the community and working hands on in the rescue and rehabilitation of abused/neglected horses with a focus on supporting & maintaining humane training and long-term partnerships with our equine counterparts.
